Hi all!  Wanted to share my July 2009 cover and feature spread for Military Spouse magazine :-)  I always have fun with their shoots!

I loved photographing baby "M" this weekend (winner of my "Go Green" Contest back in March)!  She reminded me of the Gerber baby :-)  Thanks to Mama Amy for the opportunity...here is a sneak peek for her family:

It Has Got to Be Sheer Luck...

that I stumble onto the most amazing clients!  I couldn't resist posting this many images in this sweet and charming family's Sneak Peek!  These were taken at the Hotel Del Coronado...it inspired me to give their images a more vintage feel.  Thanks for the fun afternoon!!!

These two just cracked me up!  "K" and her little brother so reminded me of my relationship with my little brother at this age! 

I was particularly excited about getting portraits of Mom & Dad by themselves, especially since he had just returned from deployment.  These two are my favorites :-)

Ok, so it was my idea to go for ice cream afterwards...unfortunately, I didn't stop to eat any as I was having too much fun watching the most dramatic consumption of ice cream ever!  :-)  I think it is safe to say they enjoyed it!

Daddy Must Surely Be Missing Her!

Look at this face!!  Her Daddy's overseas right now but I'm hoping these images will cheer him up :-)  I had a lot of fun with this sweet, beautiful little girl...here is a sneak peek for Mama and Grandma!

Unfortunately, as of late, I have only been able to book sessions on Saturdays & occasional Sundays. Book a session any day from Thursday, June 25th, through Wednesday, July 1st and receive the session fee, 5x7 bordered proofs, AND all of the custom images from your gallery in high-resolution on CD for $450 (regularly $650).  Feel free to email me with any questions :-)

A Sign of Summer

Thursday afternoon, my girls were all about the watermelon...

1 Cup of Love + 1 Cup of Gorgeous + 1 Ounce of a Great Location = Perfect Session!

On Saturday, I had a lot of fun photographing this sweet, adorable, newly-engaged couple!  They had the fabulous idea of doing their session at the USD campus, where they met while in law school (yes, law school!  This freakishly handsome couple is actually as smart as they are beautiful!).  

Wait, it gets better...not only were they obviously very much in love, but both of them are also tall (while wearing sandals they were towering over me) and two of the most charismatic people you'll find in San Diego.  Scratch that...in all of Southern California!  Here is a "sneak peek" of their session...once again I find myself in the company of very photogenic clients, so I'm in the unique position of having too many to choose from. Here are some of my favorites so far (click on each to enlarge) :-)

Hey kids...remember the Gulliver's Travels tree??  The shot actually worked...yeah!!

I loved this!  They look like an ad for the Bahamas!

Military Spouse Magazine, May 2009

This cover and article was especially close to my heart, focusing on the History of Military Spouses.  It was a lot of fun recreating the different eras, especially the cover of American icon Rosie the Riveter.  A BIG THANK YOU to the creative team that helped pull it all together:  Carmela Melecio (hairstylist), Lindsey Rivera (makeup), Nancy J. Benson (stylist), and, of course, our fantastic model/Navy spouse who pulled off every era perfectly, Julie King :-)
